Adaptation grant for evacuees from the north who returned home


An adaptation grant will be paid to evacuees from the north who returned to their homes during the period from 1.1.25 to 28.2.25.

​Who is eligible for the grant?

You will be eligible for the grant if you meet all of the following conditions:

  1. You are a resident of Israel.
  2. Your residential address with the Population and Immigration Authority at the time of the evacuation of the settlement was in a northern settlement that was evacuated under a government decision.
  3. You did not stay in a place of accommodation at the expense of the state between 1.1.25 and 28.2.25.
  4. You received an occupancy grant or stayed in a place of accommodation at the expense of the state before returning to your home.

Please note that on the grant claim form you will be asked to fill out a declaration of affiliation with the evacuated settlement.

Eligibility period

  • Eligibility for the grant is on a daily basis, for each day on which you meet the conditions of entitlement.
  • The maximum eligibility period is from 1.1.25 to 28.2.25.
  • Important! It is not possible to receive both an occupancy grant and an adaptation grant for the same day.

Grant amount

The grant will be paid according to the number of days you lived in your place of residence during the qualifying period.

  • For an adult (including a child over the age of 18) – 200 NIS per day.
  • For a child (up to the age of 18) – 100 NIS per day.

Payment method

  • For those who receive a child allowance - the grant will be paid to the bank account on which child allowance is transferred.
  • Those who do not receive a child allowance - can update their bank account details to receive the grant using this link.
    If the account is not updated - the grant will be paid to the bank account updated in the National Insurance systems.
  • For a child in foster care - the grant will be paid to the foster parent who is himself entitled to the grant.
  • For a foreign long-term care worker - there is no entitlement to an adaptation grant, even if an occupancy grant was paid for him.

What do you need to do to receive the grant?

You must fill out a grant application form online on the website

Any evacuee over the age of 18 must fill out a claim independently.

  • For a child - the parent who receives the child allowance will fill out the claim.
  • Anyone who has a guardian or for whom a benefit recipient was appointed - and it is not possible to fill out a grant claim form for them, you must call the special hotline 02-5393773, in order to fill out a telephone declaration.
